Founded in 2000, Red Tractor is a world-leading food chain assurance scheme that underpins the high standards of British food & drink. Red Tractor is the flagship logo of British food and farming, providing assurance at every stage of the production process, from farm to pack.

Around 50,000 British farmers are accredited to Red Tractor standards, which form the basis of buying and sourcing specifications for major supermarkets, household brands and restaurant chains, ultimately making life simpler for everyone.

The Union Jack on the logo means your food has been produced entirely in the UK, with every step of the food journey checked and documented from farm to pack. All food and drink can be traced right back through the supply chain to the British farms it came from.

Red Tractor insist on rigorous production standards from farm to pack. Use of any Plant Protection Products such as pesticides is strictly regulated and plans must be in place to minimise their use without compromising product quality.

Farmed with Care

Red Tractor have partnered with animal welfare experts and vets since 2000 to continuously strengthen its requirements on animal welfare. Together they work to ensure that all livestock are healthy with the right living space, food and water.

All Red Tractor farmer members share their priorities to strive for the very best in animal health and wellbeing.
